12 DAYS KENYA AND TANZANIA SAFARI – MASAI MARA – LAKE NAKURU – LAKE NAIVASHA – AMBOSELI – LAKE MANYARA – SERENGETI – NGORONGORO

Our Representative will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel or the airport, bringing you to the office for a short briefing before you join the group and depart for Maasai Mara via the Great Rift Valley. You will stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint for a few minutes to take in the scenic views, then proceed to Maasai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch you will have an afternoon game drive in search of lion, leopard, cheetah, and rhino among the golden grassland plains pocked with acacia, wildebeest, zebras, and jackals, until late evening. Dinner and overnight will be at the Camp.

You will have a full day game drive, leaving the camp with picnic lunch boxes to spend the entire day in the park. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the Hippo Pool, looking out for hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight at the Camp.

After breakfast in the camp, you will have an opportunity for a cultural tour known as a Maasai village tour, at an extra cost. Then we’ll depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for dinner and overnight stay at the Buraha Zenoni Resort.

After an early breakfast, proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, well known for its different recorded bird species and other animals, also home to the black and white rhinoceros, Colobus monkeys, leopards, giraffes, and a variety of plains antelope. Late in the afternoon, drive to Naivasha, arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Dove Nest Resort.

After an early breakfast, depart the hotel and drive to Hell’s Gate for registration. Here you can cycle or enjoy a drive; Lake Naivasha is the only park where you can enjoy this kind of activity. Hell’s Gate National Park has attractions like the Olkaria and Hobley’s, two extinct volcanoes, and obsidian formed from cool molten lava. Within Hell’s Gate is the Hell’s Gate Gorge, lined with red cliffs and containing two volcanic plugs, Fischer’s Tower and Central Tower, with a smaller gorge extending south where a path descends into hot springs. Later, with your hot lunch on the way, proceed to Amboseli National Park, arriving in the evening and dropping at the Camp for dinner and overnight.

A day of game drives in this park, which contains swamp grounds where elephants and hippos bathe in abundance. A variety of plains game, antelopes, and birds can also be seen, along with Mt. Kilimanjaro’s peak if weather conditions permit. We will cater for picnic lunches, returning to the Camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, the driver will pick you up from the camp and proceed to Namanga with lunch enroute. You will go through the immigration process and later proceed to Arusha, arriving during the day and checking in to your hotel, booked on bed and breakfast only. Dinner will be on your own.

After breakfast you will be picked from your Lodge or Camp and depart to Lake Manyara with lunch enroute, proceeding to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive, famous for its tree-climbing lions and large flocks of flamingos. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge or campsite.

After breakfast you will be picked up, and with a game drive enroute, leave Lake Manyara for Serengeti with your picnic lunch as you proceed to the Serengeti plains past Seronera, with an afternoon or evening game drive enroute to the camp or Lodge where you will have dinner and overnight.

You will be picked from your Hotel or Camp after breakfast and proceed to your final game viewing as you drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with your lunch enroute, arriving in the afternoon. Ngorongoro Crater is one of the seven wonders of Africa. Later, drop at the Camp/Lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast you will be picked by your guide and proceed to descend 2,000ft down into the crater, exploring and viewing animals until you arrive at the crater rim. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the crater, ascend, and drive to Arusha where you will be dropped at the Arusha Hotel booked on bed and breakfast.

After breakfast, pick up from the hotel and transfer to an AM shuttle bus to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon, where you will be dropped at your hotel or the Airport. If you wish to proceed to Zanzibar, we can drop you at Arusha Airport instead.
